A Greek Coast Guard vessel is rescuing a boat of immigrants off the cost of Lesbos island. For half an hour I could hear people shouting in the middle of the sea. Everyday hundreds of refugees, mainly from Syria and Afghanistan, are crossing in small overcrowded inflatable boats the 6 mile channel from the Turkish coast to the island of Lesbos in Greece. Many spend their life savings, over $1000, to buy a space on those boats.
