Polish Family # 17 - Beef with gravy

Beef with gravy
Serves 70

Ingredients: 9 Kg beef without bones
2 Kg onions
1 Kg lard
2 tablespoons salt


Preparation :
1. Cut the meat and lard into small pieces
2. Boil for 10mins
3. Add the onions
4. Simmer for 1 hour


Side dish beetroot with horseradish
Serves 70

Ingredients: 14 Kg beetroots
2 Kg horseradish
sugar
salt


Preparation :
1. Boil the beetroots until soft
2. Grind the beetroots, the horseradish and mix them
3. Add sugar and salt at taste


Side dish Steamed Buckwheat
Serves 70

Ingredients: 6 Kg buckwheat


Preparation :
1. Add the buckwheat in a saucepan
2. Toast it in high heat for 4-5 minutes
2. In a separate saucepan boil water
3. When boiling add the buckwheat, reduce to simmer
4. Cover and cook for 10 minutes until the water is absorbed
